The athletes will be competing for the overall prize of British Shooting Grand Final Champion. Competition for athlete places is hotting up and we will able to release the current standings for The Race To The Grand Final on Wednesday and Thursday this week.Over the next two days we will be releasing the standings for both Olympic Skeet and Olympic Trap, but in the meantime, to find out more information click here to head to our dedicated Grand Final section. The competition will bring together the top 18 male, and top 12 female Olympic Trap shooters in the UK, and the top 12 male, and top 6 female athletes from Olympic Skeet. There will also be male and female junior squads in Olympic Skeet and Olympic Trap. There will also be the opportunity for disabled athletes to compete on the day in a Para-clay event. Qualification will be determined by combining each athletes best three finishing placings taken from a defined list of events through 2017. This will include both international and major domestic competitions and gives any athlete who shoots throughout the year the chance to qualify. Both men and women will compete over 125 targets + final, as well as the all new mixed discipline which sees genders competing together.   The Grand Final is about providing an aspirational end of season competition, for which any shooter can potentially qualify. Designed to supplement and feed off the current international and domestic competition calendar, the concept looks to bring together the very best shooters in GBR and pit them against each other, creating pressure, tension and excitement!  What’s more, the competition environment itself will also play a role in creating a vibrant atmosphere that can be enjoyed by everyone. Entry for both spectators and athletes will be supplemented by British Shooting making it completely free to either take part or support the shooters and enjoy the live action. If you are an target shooter, you must confirm your entry into the event via our online entry form which can be found by clicking here. To find out more information about the event, download our pre-event information brochure by clicking here.
