Record Scores Shot In Skeet Series

Freddie Killander and Amber Hill are Shotgun Series Round 3 Skeet Champions. The sun was out and it clearly brought out the best in some of the shooters at Beverley Shooting Ground.Killander shot phenomenally scoring 59ex60 in the final to equal the World and British record. Ben Llewellin was just one target off his team mate shooting 58ex60 to secure silver. Jeremy Bird took bronze, despite only qualifying for the final in sixth spot. Speaking after the result, Killander said: “"It was an incredibly close final with so few clays between us. With Ben’s huge 123 in qualification he was obviously on form and wasn’t going to miss many in the final. Fortunately some training with a good dose of luck paid off and I managed to pull a decent score out of the bag."The team at Beverley CTC hosted a brilliant shoot even organising some spectacular weather and good conditions."In womens skeet, Lara Dale took silver with a score of 50ex60, while Elena Allen won bronze. In an exhilarating junior final, Luke Young claimed gold with a score of 50. Silver went to Alex Wilkinson on 48 and bronze was won by Ed Medford with a score of 41. In junior women, Emily Hibbs won gold, Lara Dale took silver and Maddie Boyd came away with bronze.
